Local Renault dealers use ID Manager

Local Renault dealers in the Netherlands advertise mostly in local publications. However, they use a central system for that: Capital ID’s marketing operations platform, ID manager. The system contains all relevant data of national and regional publications, in addition to templates for composing advertisements. Marketing budgets are also kept up to date. The marketing platform largely automates the publication process and offers Renault great cost and time savings.

 

Renault already had a campaign planning application, but it did not include any budgeting
capabilities. As with many automotive manufacturers, the national Renault office contributes to the marketing activities of each dealer. The old system did not offer enough insight into the remaining budget. Publishers sent their invoices to Renault’s media agency, who then forwarded them to the financial department. It could take months before an invoice was reconciled with the remaining marketing budget. ID manager now offers much more insight into the budgeting process. The system first gives a very accurate estimate of the publication costs, and the exact amount is reconciled as soon as the invoice arrives.

 

Benefits

The use of ID manager offers advantages not only for dealers, but also for Renault’s central
marketing department. Previously, dealers faxed their application forms, which consisted of detailed costing information, to the marketing department. Each application had to be checked manually for € contribution thresholds and then passed through to the Finance department for payment. In ID manager both the checks and the administration of the amounts happen automatically. The next step is to create a direct link between ID manager and Renault’s financial administration system.
